Etretat - Normandie

After Paris, to whom I'll dedicate a post later, since we finally stayed at the famous "L'Hotel", we head towards Normandy and we stop at Giverny to visit the must-have Monet's home and gardens.
Giverny is an area not far from the capital, where the painter moved in 1883. Here on his estate Monet starts to set up, next to the old farmhouse, a Japanese-inspired garden, with a bridge and a pond with water lilies.
The visit extends to the Botanic gardens where you can count hundreds of flowers spread along small paths and where you are awakened by sparkling fragrances.
Then a short underground path takes you to the famous Japanese garden.
Roses, iris, tulips, bluebells, gladioli, exotic plants and flowers, wisteria and weeping willows are just some of the many plant species that are the frame to the pond where the water lilies and water games.
The pictures inside the House unfortunately are forbidden but it was a very nice visit and curious.
Obviously it is a very popular destination and also the lunch break is really crowded; despite all we recommend these times because you would loose the magic of the place.
